The 2017 Tiffin CROP Hunger Walk. Make a Difference

Walk. Make a Difference

Traditionally, walkers secured pledges to their walk with a pledge envelope, used to hold gifts of cash and checks. This can still be done if necessary, however, online gifting is much more efficient and effective. It also reduces handling costs for Church World Service so that a larger percentage of your gift goes to the mission need. So, even though there is a online processing fee (two and one-half percent) for credit card processing, it is less than the handling and postage for donations done by envelope and sent to Church World Service for processing!
As a individual walker or member of a group, raise Funds Online: If you have email, you've got a whole new way to raise funds for your CROP Hunger Walk by using online donation tools through Church World Service.
Every walker can: 1. Create a personalized web page to accept donations and invite friends to join your walk. 2. E-mail requests for donations to friends and family everywhere. 3. Receive credit card contributions for your CROP Hunger Walk at our secure site. 4. Use the web to raise funds to combat hunger and poverty at home and around the world.
How can you be an E-Walker: 1. Go to CROPHUNGERWALK dot ORG - Tiffin and follow the simple step-by-step instructions to register. Then tailor your personal web page with photos, quotes, and your fundraising goal. Then, email family and friends to contribute.

Walking. Make a Difference

Many kids count on free breakfasts and lunches at school.  But what do they do on weekends?  In the Tiffin area, they may find a bag full of yummy food in their backpacks on Friday.  Nutritionally balanced meals and snacks carry kids over the days away from school.  Many hands and donors make it possible for kids to enjoy their weekends with plenty to eat. Twenty-five percent of every Tiffin CROP Hunger Walk donation will go to the YMCA Weekend Food Program, to feed kids in need.
